Community Survey

The Shire of Plantagenet has sought the assistance of Consulting Great Southern to investigate the need and feasibility of redeveloping the Mount Barker Memorial Swimming Pool facilities (established in 1972). Located on Mead Street in Mount Barker and accessible off the Albany Highway, the pool is owned and managed by the Shire of Plantagenet.

The purpose of this survey is to seek feedback from the community and key stakeholders to assist with determining community needs and wants as well as viable options for future planning.

Please note that funding for any physical developments has not been confirmed and there is no guarantee that this proposal will proceed upon completion of this investigation.

The survey is 16 questions long and will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Access to participate in this survey has been extended until 26th August 2019.
Confidentiality: Survey responses will be independently collated and individuals will not be identified or linked to their responses.

If there was no public pool in Mount Barker, it is likely I would rarely attend an alternate pool facility
If the pool was to be replaced it needs to remain in its current location
If the pool was to be replaced it needs to be relocated to Sounness Park Sports Precinct
If the pool was to be replaced it needs to be relocated to the Mount Barker Community College as part of the Mount Barker Rec.Centre
The protection of the current pools heritage is important to me
