The US Composting Council (USCC) is conducting this benchmark survey to better understand how landscape architects, developers, designers, and related professionals currently use or evaluate the use of compost in planting plans, plant selection, soil mixes, landscape maintenance, or stormwater design.

This effort is part of a broader USCC initiative to identify opportunities and barriers to expanding compost use in development and site design projects nationwide. Findings will help shape future educational resources, technical guidance, and outreach efforts to support informed decision-making and broader adoption across the industry.
