Mini-Series on Developing Strong IEPs and Working with School Teams
Part I | Developing a Strong Individualized Evaluation Plan (IEP)
This session explores the parents' role in the IEP process. Parents will learn the basics of their child's right to special education services, the process of developing special education plans, and the parent's role in developing an IEP that is responsive to the goals written for their child.
Part II | Working Effectively with Your School Team
This session will provide parents with the tools necessary to work collaboratively with school teams.
Part III | Your Parental Rights
This session will address parental rights in the special education process. Particular emphasis will be given to Procedural Safeguards Notice received annually by all parents.
