Greetings and thank you for your interest in Participatory Grantmaking!
The New York Women’s Foundation has two participatory grant making committees. The Grants Advisory Committee (GAC) and the Participatory Review Committee (PRC). Serving as The Foundation’s “eyes and ears,” GAC members work in teams supported by Foundation staﬀ, to review proposals from application organizations, conduct site visits, and make recommendations for funding. PRC not only has the same grantmaking functions as GAC but, it also provides leadership opportunity for young women of color who want to expand their understanding of philanthropy and participate in our Young Women’s Initiative grantmaking process.
The New York Women's Foundation welcomes you to sign-up, to receive notification of when the next participatory grantmaking cycle application is released.
PLEASE NOTE: the applications are only released at specific times during the year (see below)
Applications for the Spring grantmaking cycle are generally released in mid-late January. Applicants have 2-3 weeks to complete the application before it is closed.
Applications for the Fall grantmaking cycle are generally released in mid-July - early August. Applicants have 2-3 weeks to complete the application before it is closed.
