Have your say

The Commission, in collaboration with the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) and the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA), is undertaking a two-staged consultation of the pathology sector on the National Pathology Accreditation Scheme.
The consultation aims to:
  • Understand the pathology sector’s perspective on the accreditation scheme
  • Understand what part of the accreditation scheme is of value to laboratories
  • Identify barriers and enablers associated with the accreditation scheme
  • Identify what support laboratories may require to obtain and retain accreditation

Information from this consultation process will be used to inform changes to the accreditation scheme.

Stage One - Online survey

The Commission is seeking feedback on your experience with the National Pathology Accreditation Scheme.

Submit your feedback via our online survey. The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.

Alternatively, send your feedback by email to pathology@safetyandquality.gov.au. There is no word limit for your responses.

Public consultation is open until 13 October 2023.

Responses will be de-identified and are collected directly by the Commission. No comments or feedback will be attributed to you or your laboratory. Please see the Commission’s Privacy Policy for further information.

Stage Two – Focus groups

Virtual focus groups will be held throughout November 2023. These focus groups are an opportunity for consultation with sector representatives on issues identified in the survey.
