Jewish Teen Foundation (JTF) Application 2023-2024
If you’re reading this right now, it already says so much about you…

1. You’re not like other teens. You want to be a part of something bigger, make meaningful contributions to your community, and become the confident, impactful leader you were born to be.

2. You’re ready to have your voice be heard. Just because you’re a teen doesn’t mean your perspectives, values, and opinions don’t matter. The world needs you and your voice now.

3. There is so much financial abundance within the Bay Area, and you want to know how this wealth can better serve the community. Understanding how fundraising works, how to communicate with nonprofits, and how to make informed funding decisions doesn’t have to be reserved for adults. You can develop this lifelong skill now.

4. You want every opportunity to open up to you – from scholarships and colleges to internships, jobs, and learning opportunities, being a part of this prestigious program is a crucial stepping stone to manifesting that reality.

If you said “Yes, that’s me!” to any of the above statements, then JTF is the key you’ve been looking for to unlock your next stage of transformation.
Why Apply For JTF?

JTF has stewarded more than 800 teens to raise over $2.2 million for nonprofits in the Bay Area, Israel, and beyond. As a JTF board member, you have the opportunity to be a part of this immense impact.

Each year, we select a small number of high schoolers to cultivate skills in philanthropy, fundraising, leadership, social justice issues, confidence, communication, and collaboration.

The issues that JTF teens focus on are decided by them. For example, last year's boards raised $77K to support refugees and formerly incarcerated individuals, and this year's boards are currently fundraising for youth impacted by the foster care system and individuals struggling with their mental health. The impact you can make as a JTF board member is truly limitless.

Graduates of the program carry these skills with them into college and beyond, leveraging their experiences to build successful careers and take on leadership roles in their communities.

We welcome 9-12th grade students of all backgrounds including race, socioeconomic, gender identity, sexual identity, ethnicity, and Jewish identity to apply!

The Application deadline is Monday, May 1, 2023.

The earlier you apply, the better!  When you complete the application, you will receive an email from us explaining the next steps.

Have questions? Email the JTF Program Manager, Rachel Halevi. Thank you for applying and good luck!
