Emergency preparedness can be a complex task especially with the unique challenges facing people with disabilities living in our ever-changing world. This workshop will offer participants an opportunity to discuss disability-specific challenges for emergency preparedness, learn about resources available in Jefferson and Orleans Parishes, and begin developing a personal preparedness plan.
The event is being offered through a collaboration with the following community partners: Jefferson Parish Emergency Management, City of New Orleans Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (NOHSEP)/NOLA Ready, Disability Access Solutions and Volunteer Louisiana. This event is open to all community members.
