Every hour of every day, public health activities influence our lives.

The St. Charles County Department of Community Health and the Environment works with many health-focused organizations to keep our community atop Missouri's list of the state's healthiest counties. The department’s programs address a wide range of issues that promote health education and prevent illnesses in everyone from unborn babies to older adults. Through the efforts of its three divisions – Public Health, Environmental Health and Protection, and Humane Services – the department protects the people and businesses within our community.

To help the department match its services with the needs and wants of residents, it issues a Community Health Assessment survey every few years. Questions on this survey relate to the availability of health resources in our community, and they identify threats or trends that may affect you, your family and those you hold dear.
