2018 A4LE Kentucky Chapter Conference: Call for Presentations

Introduction and Presenter Acceptance

Thank you for your interest in presenting at the 2018 Kentucky Chapter Conference.

The 2018 Annual A4LE Kentucky Conference Call for Speakers invites A4LE members, industry associates, business leader and educators to submit proposals for consideration for a one-hour presentation at our Annual Conference held October 25, 2018 in Louisville KY.

A4LE welcomes high-quality submissions focused on the following topics.

1)       Industry Best Practices
a.       Focus on facility design, sustainability, maintenance, and cost control.

2)       Emerging Tools and Technologies
a.       Focus on how new tools and technologies are influencing education spaces and the education methodology.

3)       Security / Public Safety
a.       Topics may range from policy discussions to on-campus security.

Other topics will be considered based on overall value / contribution to the larger discussion. Proposals are encouraged to focus on relationships between worldly issues and their effect on learning environments, with strong supporting evidence and/or case studies. Each presentation will need to be submitted and accepted as an AIA CES-approved session.

Proposals are due: April 10, 2018

Presenter Acceptance

Each speaker, including all co-speakers agree to the terms below when submitting a presentation.

I will participate in this program and understand my submission indicates my commitment to participate, my permission for A4LE and its agents to use my name and to reproduce and distribute all or selected portions of my presentation in printed, audio video or electronic format. I hereby waive all right of payment for this license.

I further agree to register and pay for the conference and to notify any co-presenters of this same obligation.

I understand that A4LE will provide a projector, screen, microphone, and speakers for the room. I further understand that I am required to supply a laptop or device with applicable adapters to run my presentation.

Additional equipment needs must be submitted and will be at my expense. The Association for Learning Environments will make every effort to accommodate special requests; however, we do not guarantee it. I also understand there is a charge for a room change, additional equipment and that if I change the room from the original set up the charge will be at my personal expense.

PRESENTATIONS: Presentations for posting to the website and mobile app for attendees are due 2 weeks prior to the event in a PDF format totaling no more than 6 MG. Anything received after the deadline will be posted as quickly as possible post event.
