Survey on the current practice regarding the oocyte and embryo morphology assessment
This survey has been developed by a working group with members representing the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and the Alpha Scientists in Reproductive Medicine and aims to provide an overview of current practice in ART centres regarding the application of the Istanbul consensus recommendations on oocyte and embryo morphology assessment. You can find the paper here. The results will be used to contextualise an update of this consensus paper published in 2011.
This questionnaire is aimed at centres whether or not they utilize the Istanbul consensus. Therefore, we would like to invite you to participate regardless of whether your centre applies the Istanbul consensus grading system. Please note that you may receive an invitation to complete the same questionnaire from both societies, Alpha and ESHRE. However, the questionnaire should be completed only once by, preferably, one senior representative of each centre.
The questionnaire consists of 3 sections and asks for information regarding the country where you practice, the classification system in use, the rate of adoption of the Istanbul consensus recommendations and considerations regarding the use of new technologies including time-lapse (TL), artificial intelligence (AI), and PGT.
It will take approximately 20 minutes to complete the survey. The working group does not request any identifiable information, and hence replies will be anonymous and not linked to any specific centre or representative.
Thank you for taking the time to fill in the questionnaire, this is much appreciated.
