The Gateway to Industry Schools Project (GISP) - Health is a workforce development initiative being delivered by CheckUP in partnership with Queensland’s Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (DESBT). The initiative aims to develop Queensland’s school students’ practical knowledge in, awareness of, and access to the wide array of opportunities in the health sector to enable them to contribute to state’s growing health workforce.
Industry engagement is also key for students to maintain current knowledge of health sector developments, trial and self-select from different pathways and understand changing workforce needs to make an informed career decision.
As an Industry Partner to the Health Gateway program, your organisation will have the opportunity to interact with and provide tailored training to a reliable and sustainable future workforce. You can either expand ongoing programs or work with CheckUP to develop new programs based on your organisation's workforce needs and capacity.
