Overview

To meet the online teaching criteria required for an online course to run, faculty may submit evidence of a demonstrated history of excellence in teaching online by completing this Application.

Within the survey, you will be asked to do the following:
  • Assess the course LMS that you wish to teach online using the IWU Online Course Standards rubric (if not already completed).
  • Provide evidence of acting as the lead instructor within the last five years of at least one fully online course (if not already completed).
  • Complete a self-reflection documenting recent (within the last five years) online teaching experiences and the ways in which that instruction met the IWU Online Course Standards rubric linked above (if not already completed).
Completion of this application, once approved the the Provost Office/Thorpe Center, will satisfy the Alternate Approval Strategy for a faculty member to be approved for online instruction.
