IRON GUT - Physician Survey |
Iron Surveillance and Management Patterns of Canadian Physicians in GI Cancer Patients
Due to the lack of clear guidelines on how and when to monitor and treat iron deficiency (ID) and iron deficiency anemia (IDA) in GI cancer patients, we suspect disparity in practices amongst Canadian physicians in this respect.
In order to better understand the current practices on a National level, we have developed this 5-minute survey.
Objectives:
To describe the practice patterns of Canadian Medical Oncologists, Surgical Oncologists and Gastroenterologists with regards to the surveillance and management of ID/IDA in their GI cancer patients.
To describe the current understanding, attitudes and perspectives of Canadian Medical Oncologists, Surgical Oncologists and Gastroenterologists in regards to iron surveillance and supplementation, as it relates to outcomes in this patient population.
