Challenge: Windows, roofing, parking lots, and mechanical and electrical systems across the district are past or nearing the end of their useful life cycle. Carpeting, restrooms, and playground equipment are also showing normal wear and tear across the district.

Challenge: Watt Auditorium was built in 1966, and its current stage size, lighting, and acoustics limit our ability to produce quality performances. Additionally, the seating capacity restricts the number of audience members we can accommodate.

12.IPS is studying the possibility of a no-tax-rate-increase school bond proposal to address our key priorities of capital improvements.

The potential school bond proposal amount has not yet been determined, but the district has the ability to place a bond on a 2025 ballot that would not increase the current tax rate.
