About IPA
Independence Point Advisors (IPA) is a women-owned, diversity-focused investment bank based in NYC. IPA is mission-driven and committed to expanding the pipeline of diverse talent into finance, so we welcome university students of all ages, backgrounds, majors, and identities to apply for the program.

We have built an experienced team of proven talent from top firms who all have recent experience advising the largest companies on the most complex financing transactions. Our team’s thought leadership and recommendations are grounded by decades of experience across a variety of markets and financial disciplines including: the bond market, bank market, equity market and risk management along with investor insights gained from asset management and trading floor experience. We have a team of leading experts in ESG and Risk Advisory to help identify, assess, and react to emerging risks and opportunities.

Description of Internship
+ Participants will spend 8-weeks working part-time through a series of corporate finance and capital markets projects and gain hands-on training as they work alongside IPA’s experienced team of diverse bankers.
+ The internship will also involve networking opportunities with professionals across IPA’s focus areas including Strategic Advisory, Capital Markets, ESG, and Risk Advisory. Upon completion of the series, students will gain the knowledge and skills to continue forward in pursuits of careers in finance.

Responsibilities
+ The internship will require a commitment of 10-15 hours per week. This is a virtual/remote internship
+ Develop and apply comprehensive knowledge of the financial markets and utilize corporate finance skills to advise corporate debt issuers on optimal financing and refinancing opportunities
+ Conduct economic/financial research
+ Prepare financial analyses and modeling to assess overall client, industry, and market trends
+ Participation in meetings with investment bankers and clients

Students graduating in 2025 or 2026
