This is the time of year that we honor our outstanding PTSA Volunteers! Do you know a volunteer who goes “above and beyond” for our kids at IHS? Each year the Issaquah High PTSA presents the following awards to honor the dedication and service of our volunteers: the Golden Acorn Award and the Outstanding Student Advocate Award.

The Golden Acorn Award. The Issaquah High PTSA honors outstanding volunteer service for youth by awarding the Golden Acorn Award annually. The winners of this award are PTSA members who volunteer in ways that meet the mission of PTA: promoting the health, welfare, safety and education of ALL youth in our schools and community.

The Outstanding Student Advocate Award. Every year the PTSA honors Outstanding Volunteer Advocacy for youth by awarding the Outstanding Student Advocate Award. This award is, above all, a PTSA award whose winners volunteer in ways that meet the mission of the PTSA: promoting the health, welfare, safety and education of ALL youth in our school and community through active legislative advocacy.

Recent recipients, more information and an online submission form can be found on the PTSA Awards page of the I.H.S. website. http://issaquahhighptsa.org/Page/Programpages/Awards

Award recipients will receive a Washington State PTA certificate, pin, and will be honored at the March 8th Issaquah High PTSA meeting and at a district-wide reception on April 4th. A donation will be made in the recipients name to the Washington State PTA Scholarship Program.
