Introduction

The Interstate Bridge Replacement (IBR) program, is preparing a Navigation Impact Report (NIR) to inform the planning and design of a replacement bridge for the Interstate Bridge between Oregon and Washington. The preparation of a NIR is a required element of a bridge permit application to the United States Coast Guard. In order to understand the current and future navigational needs, and vessel characteristics of Columbia River users at the bridge locations over the main Columbia River (River mile 106.5) and the North Portland Harbor (River Mile 3.4), the IBR program is conducting outreach to waterway users.

Please take the following survey to share information about your vessel(s) and how often you travel under the Interstate Bridge and the North Portland Harbor Bridge. Please answer as many questions as possible and complete a new survey for each vessel in your fleet. Additionally, please complete a survey for any vessels in the planning or construction phase that will travel under these bridges. Should you have any questions or need assistance, please reach out to the project team.
