BPS certified arts teachers and teaching artists are invited to apply for BPS Arts Expansion Individual Arts Educator grants. Teaching artists must be teaching a long term (min. 30 hours) in-school arts residency at a BPS school during the 2023-24 school year to be eligible. The deadline to submit an application is Wednesday, March 22, 2023 by 4:00 p.m..

BPS certified arts teachers and teaching artists may apply for up to $500 to support their own professional development or to fund supplies, materials or equipment needed for a specific project or curriculum unit.
 
Examples include: enrollment in a class that grows a teacher’s artistic practice or teaching methods; attendance at a conference or summer institute; participation in a webinar series; purchase of specific materials needed for a clay sculpture unit; or costumes needed for a specific theatre or dance project.
 
Please note that any equipment or unused supplies and materials purchased utilizing grant funds become property of Boston Public Schools after project completion.
 
Grant recipients will be required to submit a brief report sharing their learning and experience in June 2024.
