Welcome to the Public Health Emergency Warnings Survey

Thank you for participating in our survey, your feedback is important for informing how the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) uses the Emergency warning system to communicate with the public during a public health emergency.

Cube Group has been engaged by DHHS to undertake this survey.

This survey is expected to take approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Public heath emergencies may include events such as:
  • major food or drinking water contamination
  • significant outbreak of a life-threatening communicable disease (e.g. Ebola)
  • significant weather event (e.g. heat wave)
  • chemical spills threatening human health
  • emergencies of unknown cause impacting human health

Through this survey we are seeking to better understand:
  • the community’s expectations for receiving warnings during a public health emergency
  • any unique considerations for issuing Public Health Warnings in the Victorian Emergency Management context
  • the factors most likely to act on a public health warning to protect themselves and those in their care

Your participation in this survey is voluntary and no identifying information is requested or collected. The information you provide via this survey will only be used for the Public Health Emergency Warning Systems Research Project and will be securely stored by Cube Group.
