In the face of rising healthcare costs and increasing accountability for population health and quality outcomes, healthcare organizations are recruiting health coaches to facilitate actionable, sustainable health behavior change in rising and high-risk populations, across a continuum of delivery platforms. A  study on health coaching published in the Annals of Family Medicine in 2016 found that most clinical improvements persisted one year after completion of a health coaching intervention.
