MnDOT would like to hear from you about the demonstration project on Highway 287. Demonstration projects are temporary roadway projects that use low-cost materials to evaluate changes to the street before potentially investing in longer term solutions.

The goal of this project is to evaluate street and intersection changes to make walking and biking easier, safer, and more enjoyable for everyone. Your responses will help us understand how well the project meets those goals.

This demonstration project includes:
  • Adding a temporary shared use path along Highway 287 marked with plastic tubes
  • Installing temporary curb extensions at several intersections to shorten the crossing distance for pedestrians
The survey should take less than 5 minutes to complete. Your responses will remain confidential. We thank you for your time!

If you’d like more information about the project or survey, please contact Zach Whitley (zachary.whitley@state.mn.us; 320-293-9411).
