Cessnock City Council is investigating the possibility of combining the Hunter Valley Wine & Tourism Association (HVWTA) and Hunter Valley Visitor Information Centre (HVVIC) memberships into one partnership offering.
This would provide one source of tourism information for the Hunter Valley and allow us to combine our strengths to offer an improved service to tourism businesses.
We would be grateful if you could answer the following questions regarding a potential tourism partnership and the value you see in a collaborative tourism approach for the Hunter Valley.

Question Title

* 1. Are you a member of HVVIC only or HVVIC and HVWTA?

Question Title

* 2. The HVVIC is exploring a partnership with HVWTA & Singleton Council that would look to reduce duplication of assets, create a united Hunter Valley brand and merge the memberships of all organisations.  Do you see benefits in a combined membership (yes or no) and why?

Question Title

* 3. If not, why don't you agree?

Question Title

* 4. If the combined membership fees were based on the below categories, what bracket would your business fit into?
*Total revenue refers to all your sales for a financial year, including cellar door, restaurant, web sales etc (Please base the selection on non-bushfire and COVID-19 impacted revenue). If you have multiple businesses within your business, eg. Cellar door,  weddings venue, accommodations, café etc. please include the total annual revenue for your whole business.

Question Title

* 5. Would you prefer a revenue model based on a $750 minimum fee, with businesses having revenue above $750,000 paying .1% of total annual revenue capped at a maximum fee of $10,000?

Question Title

* 6. Based on these new fees would you join a combined tourism association that has a single tourism website for the Hunter Valley, is focused on bookable products and experiences, works together to market the region, shares information and resources between government and industry, and advocates for the benefit of the region?

Question Title

* 7. Do you have any other feedback about a joint membership proposal?
