Thank you for your interest in serving as a High School Poll Worker in the 2021 Gubernatorial Recall Election.
The California Secretary of State has received the number of signatures necessary to trigger a recall of the Governor of California. Consequently, the Department of Elections has begun the process of recruiting volunteers to assist voters at the polls and invites you to serve as a poll worker in the upcoming September 14th 2021 Gubernatorial Recall Election.
All poll workers receive training and materials to make sure they are confident and ready to help voters on Election Day. Poll workers arrive to their assigned polling place by 6 a.m. on Election Day and end their day at 9 p.m. For their service, high school poll workers receive a stipend (up to $200). To learn more about serving as a poll worker, visit sfelections.org/pollworker.
As part of the application process, you must obtain permission to serve as a poll worker from your parents/guardians and teachers.
Before Election Day, we will be sending your parents/guardians and your school administrator an email confirmation that you will be serving as a poll worker.
We look forward to welcoming you to our poll worker team!
