
Pennsylvania Recreation & Park Society's 2026 Therapeutic Recreation Virtual Institute Call for Proposals |
The 2026 TRI will build on the success of the past years' virtual institutes as an engaging professional development opportunity. We seek presenters and proposals that share new techniques, the latest research, and innovative programming in Therapeutic Recreation.
Dates: January 9, 2026 - January 30, 2026 - All sessions are virtual and recorded.
Session length: 1 hour 15 minutes - Most sessions begin at noon eastern
Proposals due September 12, 2025
Presentation topics can include, but are not limited to:
- Professional development and leadership
- Therapeutic programming
- Mind-body connections such as yoga, tai chi, mindfulness
- Treatment interventions & strategies
- Recreation therapy competencies

- CTRS specialty certification areas

- Nature-based interventions
