Welcome!

We know that all of us on Horseshoe Lake and Mirror Lake are passionate about our beautiful lakes and we hope that our 2022 survey will give everyone a chance to talk about what’s important for our community.  The survey period is June 1st to July 31st.

Together with our families and friends we all have our own special ways of enjoying time at our properties.  Participating in this survey will help to ensure a better understanding of what we are all loving and what we’re not so keen on!  We need to make sure that the HLPOA is accurately representing and investing in issues, interests and values of our lake community.  This is about:

Our Lake and Our Future, Let’s Invest in this Together.

We want to hear from everyone; whether you are the property owner or a family member; whether you live here full-time or part-time; no matter what your interests are and regardless of whether or not you are a member of the HLPOA.

In the Fall, we will publish the results of the survey along with an assessment on how the findings will influence the HLPOA’s focus, strategies and programs.  Survey results will be provided in aggregate and individual response will be kept confidential.  The detailed results will be available to HLPOA members only through the member only portal on the website.

If you are not currently a member and would like to join now, please click here to join or renew your membership.  This will ensure that you have access to the results when they become available.

Our survey will take around 10-15 minutes to complete.  You will be able to go back and forth within the survey to complete or change your answers by using the 'Prev’ button at the end of each page but once you click ‘Done’ at the end, the survey will be submitted and you will no longer be able to access it to make changes.

We have chosen not to make the survey anonymous, specifically so that if clarifications or follow up is needed to better understand comments made, we will be able to do that and more accurately depict the feedback received.

As thanks for your time, once you have completed the survey you will be asked if you would like to participate in a prize draw.

We appreciate your invaluable thoughts on our work and on your life on our lakes.

As we start to think about our lake and our future on the lake, it is important to start by grounding our thoughts and expressing our gratitude for those who have gone before us.

Land Acknowledgement
The Horseshoe Lake Property Owners Association acknowledge the lands and waters on which we meet, are the traditional homelands of the First Nation, Métis and Inuit peoples. Our beautiful lakes are fed from the north and flow to the south. We therefore acknowledge the Algonquin and Mississauga peoples as well as the governance of the Williams Treaties. We wish to express gratitude to Mother Earth, the resources we are using, and honour all Indigenous people who have been and continue to live on these lands.
