Focusing on the community of Edson as a whole The Healthy Places Action Tool on Tobacco Reduction is a tool used to gain a better understanding or “a snapshot” on the strengths, assets and areas for improvement for Edson residents to make healthier choices for people to choose not to smoke or reduce tobacco use by establishing necessary bylaw restrictions (policy environment) for smoke-free places (physical environment) that protect citizens from the harms of tobacco and tobacco-like products; making cessation services and products more affordable (economic environment) and enhancing community awareness and knowledge about tobacco use and control (social environment) that support overall well-being in Edson.
