The Power of Recognising More: Submission Form |
The Power of Recognising More is an action-research study focused on building robust evidence on the impact and value of broader recognition of learning. The study is about understanding what makes broader learning recognition possible within schools and communities and the impact these efforts have on young people's learning experiences and transitions. The first cycle is now open for submissions and will close for submissions on October 13th. Together, we will explore:
- What impact does broader recognition of learning have on the educational experience of young people, and their pathways to further learning and work?
- What arrangements need to be in place to enable equitable broader learning recognition approaches?
- What conditions in the learning system are enabling (or preventing) broader learning recognition?
Why would my school or organisation want to be involved?
You are invited to contribute insights, information and data about what you are doing - we are looking for examples of places where communities are working to transform learning and practices where learning is focussed on skills like critical thinking, problem solving and young people are being recognised beyond marks, scores and ranks. We aim to learn from, rather than compare, different approaches. Together, we can work to build robust evidence that demonstrates that it’s possible to recognise a wider range of skills and capabilities in our students, and that doing so is powerful as it has a transformative impact for young people. You can read the full Action Research Plan here.
Who is running the study and who else is involved?
A group of early movers representing schools, academics, employers, universities, admissions centres and jurisdictions have come together as design partners of the study. This group shapes the focus, follows progress of the study, provides advice, and supports wider contribution to and participation in the study. The study is supported by Learning Creates Australia and the Nous Group.
What information will I be asked to share and how will this be managed?
Below we will ask a few questions about your school/organisation. On the following page we will offer the opportunity for you to upload any information that might be relevant to the study. When we talk about information or data, we are talking about information, insights, program reports or reviews. Please read the Sharing Agreement before submitting. All data will be collected and stored by Learning Creates and shared with Nous Group in accordance with the Sharing Agreement and Learning Creates’ privacy policy which can be found here www.learningcreates.org.au/privacy-policy.
