Summary

Provide non-emergency transportation of participants in order to help them build their recovery capital in a safe and professional manner. Example destinations include to and from addiction treatment, medical appointments, support meetings and their private residences. This position will be transporting to Center for Behavioral Health in Madison County but will serve surrounding counties.

Requirements
  • Willing to sign a motor vehicle record release form and have less than six deficiency points on the motor vehicle record.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a minimum of five years driving experience.
  • Have had no more than two at-fault accidents in the past three years.
  • Have a personal vehicle for participant transportation.
  • Hold personal automobile liability insurance with limits of $100,000 per person/$300,000 per accident/$100,000 property damage.
  • Vehicle must be legally registered with up-to-date tags.
  • Have no health problems that limit or restrict driver licensing
  • Be willing to participate in a pre-employment drug screen
  • Willingness to work early mornings and weekends
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Follow a fluctuating schedule of participant transports.
  • Transport participants in personal vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
  • Complete all documentation in respect to participant transport accurately and by end of shift.
  • Complete regular safety checks on vehicles being used for transport.
  • Report facts concerning accidents or incidents immediately to supervisor.
  • Follow all traffic safety laws and regulations, including wearing a seatbelt, using hands-free devices, and never driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
  • Adhere to all VOH policies and procedures at all times.
  • Perform all duties as assigned by supervisor.
