The Greater Miramichi Service Commission is partnering with the Canadian Centre for Safer Communities (CCFSC), a national not-for-profit organization that supports communities across Canada in strengthening safety and well-being.
We want to understand how people in Greater Miramichi experience safety and well-being in their daily lives, including what is working well and where there are challenges.
About This Survey
This survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Responses will be collected until August 31st, 2026.

The survey includes questions about topics such as:
- community connection and belonging
- health and well-being
- access to services and supports
- safety and experiences related to crime
Your participation is voluntary. You may skip any question or leave the survey at any time.
Survey respondents will have the opportunity to enter a draw for a $100 local gift card. After submitting the survey, you will be redirected to a separate page to enter the draw. Please note that your contact information will not be linked to your survey responses.
How Your Responses Will Be Used
The information collected in this survey, along with input from focus groups, existing data, and other sources, will be used to inform the development of the Community Safety and Well-Being Plan.

A Community Safety and Well-Being Plan is a long-term strategy that brings together different sectors to address the root causes of issues like crime and violence, and to improve overall well-being in the community.
The Community Safety and Well-Being Plan is anticipated to be publicly launched by June 2027.
Results may also be used by the Canadian Centre for Safer Communities to support related research, evaluation, and planning work. All findings will be reported in summarized, non-identifying ways.

Survey data will only be accessed by staff at the Canadian Centre for Safer Communities for the purposes of analysis. Summarized findings (such as overall trends and themes) will be shared with project partners but will not include identifying information.
