Missing Roles for Graduate Students

SUBMISSIONS INSTRUCTIONS

There are more than one thousand sessions at the conference, and we want to make sure that each session has at least one discussant. Though there is a limit on the number of papers a person can present, there is no limit on serving as a chair or discussant.

The following roles can all be filled by graduate students. If you have questions, please contact us at conf@mpsanet.org.

PANELISTS on Roundtables do not prepare a paper in advance, but instead discuss the overall topic along with 2-5 other individuals.

CHAIRS on Lightning Talks introduce the speakers and help the speakers with PowerPoints if needed. Graduate students may serve in this capacity.

DISCUSSANTS on Poster Sessions attend the poster sessions and provide each author with feedback. Graduate students may serve in this capacity.
