The training is not first-come first-serve. We review every application carefully. We look at such things as bar status, years of experience, areas of expertise and the size of one’s organization in order to have a diverse mix of volunteers, including volunteers from small firms, solo practitioners, corporate counsel, those with military experience, those with foreign language skills, and the like. Depending on the size of the host organization, there is also a maximum capacity, which may result in a waiting list.
