Location: Manor House

Howbery Park has organised the event – which is open to the general public and people based on the park – as part of its commitment to a six-year biodiversity scheme. Howbery has been working with Nurture Landscapes, which maintains the grounds, on making sure that there is enough food sources and suitable habitats on the park for bumblebees, birds, hedgehogs and insects. The scheme’s aims also includes raising awareness of biodiversity.

Visitors are also welcome to explore the grounds and walk round the Howbery Tree Trail before or after the talk. A free map is available from the Manor Café during its opening hours – 9am-4pm on working weekdays. The trail takes in eleven of Howbery’s notable trees, which are marked by plaques in the grounds.

Howbery’s grounds are open to the public 8am-6pm on working weekdays and are only a short walk from the centre of Wallingford. There is also a bus stop outside the site and ample parking on the site.
