Introduction

Thank you for submitting a nomination for the 2017 research and education networking Community Award!

The award will be presented by GÉANT during the opening plenary session of the 2017 networking conference, TNC17, in Linz, Austria on Tuesday 30 June.

In order to assess all nominations equally we will need to know some basic facts about you and the person you are nominating, as well as some supporting information. Please fill in all fields as fully as you can - all questions are compulsory - but the number of questions has been reduced to the minimum.

There are three main criteria for these awards being presented:

   a) the nominee shared a specific idea with the community that led to a significant development
       over time;
   b) he / she significantly contributed to many collaborative activities throughout several years;
   c) he / she has made significant contributions to important / recognisable developments within the
       past 12 months.

Among other things, you will be asked to explain why you feel the nominee deserves special recognition, whether such recognition would be particularly timely during TNC17, whether their work was part of a team effort or has already received wider recognition, and whether you have any ideas for a relevant (personal, token) gift.

If you wish to nominate more than one person, you can return to this page and fill in the survey again.

A maximum of two completed submissions will be accepted; if more than two nominations are submitted, the first two completed forms will be accepted.

Nominations for people who were nominated but not selected in previous years will be accepted. Nominations can be submitted until midnight CET on Thursday 2 March 2017.

If you have any queries or problems, please contact marcomms@geant.org.

Thank you!
