George Braddock is an internationally known licensed general contractor and housing consultant. Mr. Braddock trains and advocates for the increasing awareness for the critical role of the physical environment in shifting the balance towards choice, control, and participation in an individual’s home. This presentation explores the critical role of the physical environment in supporting people with intellectual/developmental disability to live more independent, safe and satisfying lives in their own homes on their own terms. He will be joined by Chris Turley of Transformative Spaces to faciliatate audience’s questions around overcoming and optimizing specific community and housing issues.Together we will discuss how we might approach making these ideas real and tangible in our communities.
