RESEARCH PROCEDURES
This interview is being conducted to assess issues and concerns related to conducting health advocacy.
If you agree to participate you will be asked a series of questions. The interview should last about 30
minutes. Interviews will be recorded online in this instrument.


RISKS
There are no foreseeable risks for participating in this interview.


BENEFITS
There are no direct benefits to participants. The knowledge generated by this interview will inform The
Global Advocacy Leadership Academy’s (GALA) understanding of the issues organizations face when
attempting to carry out health advocacy efforts. You may benefit indirectly from this research in that it will
make GALA better able to meet the needs of advocates like you.


CONFIDENTIALITY
Participation in this interview will be confidential. After interviews are data will be safely stored on the
researcher's system and computer, which is password-protected and only the researcher will have access
to them. No identifying information will be used in reports to the public or shared with any institution. If
quotes are used in subsequent reports, names of individuals, organizations, and contextual identifiers will
not be used. There will be no way to connect you or your institution to any information provided to
interviewers.



PARTICIPATION
Your participation is voluntary, and you may withdraw from the interview at any time and for any reason. If
you choose not to participate or withdraw, there is no penalty or loss of benefits to which you are otherwise
entitled. There are no costs to you or any other party.
