Town Council has given the direction that Administration undertake public engagement and prepare bylaw amendments regarding rezoning the 112 St. E land to Urban Reserve District.

They have also given the direction to allow a maximum of one (1) dwelling unit per lot as a permitted use.

The Country Residential District (CRD) and the Rural Business District (RBD) are relatively limited in scope in terms of permitted uses. However, both Districts do allow for a dwelling unit as a permitted use.

Dwelling units in the Urban Reserve District (URD) are discretionary, meaning that there is a public appeal period. The Town is considering allowing a dwelling unit on each property within the area to be developed without the public appeal period as part of the process.
