Thank you for participating in our survey. Your feedback is important.

The City of Brantford’s Police Services Board is currently reviewing and updating its Strategic Plan. As part of that review, the Brantford Police Service is seeking input from local community members on what they believe the priorities should be for the Brantford Police Service (BPS) in the coming years.

The Police Services Board is responsible for oversight of the police service.

While the Board does not direct the specific operations for the police service, the Board is responsible for approving the police service budget and ensuring they have sufficient resources to deliver adequate and effective policing for the community. What "adequate and effective" policing looks like is different for every community. It is the job of the Board, after consultation with the chief of police, in partnership with the police service and the community, to set the overarching framework that ensures adequate and effective police services are available.

That's why the new Strategic Plan process is so important; it will establish our highest priorities and set a collective vision for the future. It will help guide the Board, staff, and the community through key decision-making processes and provide guidance on where to direct policing resources.
This survey is an opportunity for you as a community member to have your voice heard and to help shape the direction of Brantford’s Police Service for years to come.

Everyone’s feedback and perspectives are welcome, whether you’re a long-time resident, new to the community or a business owner.

Your participation in  the survey is vital to this process and essential for the success of the Strategic Plan.

This survey will be open from September 11th, 2023, to October 2nd, 2023.

We thank you in advance for participating in this process!
