Chisago County is creating a master plan for Fish Lake County Park. The purpose of this plan will be to guide development and improvements over the next 10 years, as well as establish a vision and implementable goals for the future of this well-loved park. The plan will also guide operations, natural resource management, and park programming into the future, with the intent of meeting the growing and changing needs of the community.

This plan will eventually be submitted to the Greater Minnesota Parks and Trails Commission (GMRPTC) as part of an application for designation as a Natural Resource-Based Regional Park.

The process to create a master plan began in 2018 and was put on ‘pause’ over the last few years. Chisago County will be building from the previously completed 2018 work to finalize the plan in early 2023.
