Introduction

Marshall Public Schools enrolled 2,314 students in Kindergarten through 12th grade at the end of the 2014-2015 school year. This marked the 5th year in a row with increasing enrollment, and projections show a 16%-22% increase over the next ten years. Currently, buildings are at or above capacity.

During a meeting held on July 15, 2015, the Facilities Study Committee discussed potential focus areas or themes, as planning continues to purposely and slowly progress. A list of those themes or focus areas is included in two of the questions in this survey.

Input from students, parents, staff, and community members would be very helpful as discussions continue about how to address space and facility needs in the Marshall Public School District. This survey is an opportunity to gather input from these groups and to utilize the input in planning efforts.

Please take time to complete this brief survey. The survey will be open for an indefinite period of time, although results will be shared with the Facilities Study Committee on August 10.

Should you have questions about something or wish to discuss a particular aspect of facilities planning at MPS, please contact Superintendent Scott Monson at scott.monson@marshall.k12.mn.us or by phone at 507-537-6924.

Thank you for taking time to complete this survey and provide valuable input.
