The FWC is responsible for managing Florida's fish and wildlife resources for their long-term well-being and for the benefit of people. This often involves enacting and enforcing rules and regulations governing human activity in many areas - such as hunting and fishing.
FWC Commissioners will consider "draft" rule change proposals related to hunting recreation at their December 6-7, 2017 meeting in Gainesville, Fl, and provide guidance to staff on how to proceed. Commissioners will consider the proposed rule changes for final adoption at their February, 2018, meeting. If adopted, rules will take effect on July 1, 2018.
