The 2019 Wisconsin Pharmacy Residency Conference (WPRC) will be held concurrently with the PSW Educational Conference on Tuesday, April 9 – Wednesday April 10, 2019.

Deadline for abstract submission for Platform Presentations and Poster Session participation is January 15, 2019. The abstract should reflect the content that will be expressed at the conference. Abstract submissions will be reviewed for appropriate scheduling within the WPRC. You will be notified by email on or before February 11, 2019 regarding scheduling of your presentation.

All presenters (Platform Presentation and poster) are required to register for the PSW Educational Conference. You must register for the day you are presenting or for the full conference. Absolutely no exceptions.

While only residents are eligible to present a Platform Presentation, all others (students, technicians, other pharmacists) may use this form to submit poster abstracts.
Platform Presentation and/or Poster Abstract Submission Instructions
  • Complete this online form no later than January 15, 2019
  • As part of the form, residents presenting a Platform Presentation must provide at least one learning objective. (See learning objective resource as needed. Resident presentations are knowledge-based activities.) Be sure to record your learning objective(s) for your records. You will need it when you create your Platform Presentation slides.
  • As part of the form, residents presenting a Platform Presentation must provide at least one learning assessment question for each learning objective. The learning assessment question(s) must be formatted as multiple choice with options A, B, C, D and must indicate the correct answer. Be sure you record your learning assessment question(s) for your records. You will need it when you create your Platform Presentation slides.
  • Upload your abstract as Microsoft Word document using only the abstract template provided. The formatting outlined in the template is specific and REQUIRED.
    • If the upload does not work via this form, email your abstract to ryanp@pswi.org
    • Abstracts should be organized into five sections: background/purpose, methodology, results (preliminary results are acceptable), conclusion reached to-date
    • Word limit is 500 words
  • As part of this online form, complete a speaker disclosure
  • You will be notified around February 11 regarding your abstract acceptance and presentation scheduling
Please note: Abstracts will be accessible in the conference app to conference attendees and will be published in an online supplement to the Journal of the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin unless publication is not desired by indicating on this form.
