DE mentors make the DE experience special and unique. DE mentors provide leadership and guidance to participants as they "Trust the Process" on their journey to earn their CUDE designation and become the BEST CLASS EVER!

As the DE program continues to grow, we are seeking DE Alumni who are interested in mentoring to complete this survey for 2024 programs.

To mentor at DE, you need to have earned your CUDE designation from the US DE program--virtual or in-person program attendees can mentor!

If you've completed one, we're also interested in learning more about your DE project. Remember, projects can be small or big! Did your project positively impact 1 of the 12 Development Issues or possibly more? That's a project!

We kindly ask that you only hit submit if you are confident that you will be able to join us at the program(s) you select.

2024 In-Person DE Programs will be:

February 5-9 at PSCU in St. Petersburg, FL
June 10-14 at the TruStage Lighthouse in Madison, WI
September 9-13 at the TruStage Lighthouse in Madison, WI
October 7-11 at the TruStage Lighthouse in Madison, WI

If you are selected as a mentor, you should plan to travel to your DE location Sunday before training and leave on the Saturday after training. Lodging and most meals are included for mentors.

NCUF can reimburse the following travel for mentor volunteers:
Flying: If flying is your primary mode of transport to DE, $800 USD coach class airfare less any ACH or wire fees.
Driving in your personal vehicle: If driving is your primary mode of transportation to DE, 400 miles of mileage at the IRS rate less any ACH or wire fees.

This year we will have Virtual DE mentors.
Virtual DE mentors do not travel.

2024 Virtual DE will be:

November 12-13 (1P-4P Central)
November 19-20 (1P-4P Central)
December 3-4 (1P-4P Central)
December 10-12 (1P-4P Central)

You must be present on all dates to mentor Virtual DE.
Virtual DE is open to US participants only.

Surveys will be reviewed on an ongoing basis through December 1, 2023. If you are not selected or able to mentor in 2024 please apply next year.

By submitting a mentor interest form, you agree to the following:

  • Your information in this application could be shared with the Development Education Advisory Committee
