A range of community service organisations are now proscribed under the MARAM, the Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme and the Child Information Sharing Scheme.

This is an important change for the community services industry to facilitate better information sharing and more coordinated support and effective services to improve the safety and promote the wellbeing of children, women and families.

Implementation requires substantial work on organisational policies, procedures and workforce development.  The Victorian Council of Social Service (VCOSS) is surveying stakeholders in regional Victoria to understand how those community service organisations are experiencing the reforms.  These findings will be analysed in an issues paper that will be provided to Family Safety Victoria and help identify priority areas for sector capacity building.
