The Friday Night Live Youth Summit will take place on October 7 & 8, 2023, in Anaheim, California.

Workshop Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis and are due Friday, May 19th.

WORKSHOP TOPICS:
- General prevention strategies, tools, campaigns, assessment, implementation, etc.
- FNL chapter development & capacity building (i.e., recruitment & retention strategies, meeting facilitation tips & tricks, youth-adult partnerships, etc.)
- Cannabis use prevention*
- Community organizing/outreach*
- Mental health & wellness
- Social-emotional learning
- Tobacco use prevention*
- Underage drinking prevention*
- Underage & problem gambling prevention*
- Youth development
- Youth leadership/advocacy

*indicates a prioritized topic

WORKSHOPS SHOULD BE:
- High-level
- Youth-friendly
- Current, relevant, fresh
- Youth-led & driven (the CFNLP highly encourages youth and adult partnerships throughout the presentation's design, preparation, and delivery)
- Loaded with easily adaptable content
- Well organized
- Interactive & engaging
- Aligned with the Friday Night Live Standards of Practice (click to access SOPs)

PLEASE NOTE:
Workshop audiences will consist of high school-aged youth, as well as adult allies. Workshop attendees should come away with a clear understanding of the topic and how to apply the concepts to local campaigns.
 
WORKSHOPS WILL INCLUDE:
Each workshop will have a workshop monitor to support presenters with timekeeping, handing out materials, room capacity, and anything else of need.

All workshop rooms will be equipped with a screen/projector or TV, small speaker, HDMI cable, chart paper, and markers. 

Wi-fi access is not guaranteed; please be prepared if an internet connection is not available.

Please specify any additional needs in the application (requests are not guaranteed to be met, but we will do our best!).

The CFNLP may select this workshop to present more than once (up to 3 times) throughout the Youth Summit Workshop Tracks unless otherwise indicated in the application.
