FHSA Presenter Application 2016

Be a Presenter at the FHSA 2016 Conference:  We invite you to submit an Presentation Application for the Florida Head Start Association Conference to be held at the Hilton Daytona Beach Resort, Daytona Beach, FL from April 20-22, 2016 (Note- the Pre-Conference Sessions will be held April 19.). The conference provides an excellent opportunity for professionals to share their knowledge and expertise for the benefit of those working and administering Early Head Start, Head Start  and Migrant Head Start programs in Florida.  Our goal is that participants are more knowledgeable and better prepared to meet the demands of offering our most vulnerable children the very best.

Honorarium and Expenses: As a non-profit professional association, FHSA does not typically award conference workshop presenters an honorarium. Speakers cover their own travel, parking, food, printing and other expenses. If you require us to pay any of these costs, please note it in your submission and understand that an honorarium request does not ensure that FHSA will choose to or be able to provide one.

Conference Registration:  It is not mandatory that a Presenter register for the conference if they plan on presenting their workshop and leaving. However, if you would like to join our conference, FHSA provides a complimentary registration for the primary presenter and the co-presenters may choose to register for the conference at the FHSA Membership rate.  The Complimentary Registration includes attendance at Opening and Closing Luncheons as well as attending our Conference Wednesday Night Mixer.  

Why Be A Presenter?  This conference is an excellent opportunity to gain experience and recognition in presenting to a statewide Head Start audience. The audience includes: Head Start/Early Head Start Parents & Policy Council Members, Administrators & Managers, Teachers and other staff such as Home Visitors, Family Service Workers, Center Managers.
