1. Welcome to the National Standards 3.0 Final Review

Welcome to the last step of the project to update the National Standards for Family & Consumer Sciences and thank you for participating.

The standards and competencies you will review were originally developed and validated nationally in 1998 and then updated in 2008. With input from over 1,000 stakeholders, this 3rd edition of the standards and competencies is ready for a final review. Continued feedback from stakeholders across the nation is vital to finalizing the National Standards 3.0 and your participation is appreciated.

Please complete this short survey to contribute your opinions and recommendations about the National Standards for the Areas of Study you have reviewed. Average time to complete this survey is no more than 5-10 minutes. If you have reviewed multiple Areas of Study, be aware that the time may be extended.

After the National Standards 3.0 have been finalized, there is still work to be done. The last page of this survey invites you to participate in work to align the National Standards to the following:
-Process standards and process questions
-National Career Clusters (www.CareerClusters.org)
-Family, Career & Community Leaders of America (FCCLA - www.fcclainc.org)
-Core academic skills and processes
-Assessments for industry certification
-Strategies for communicating to various markets

The final drafts are available in PDF format through the links on NASAFACS website at www.nasafacs.org. Please review the standards and competencies for any of the sixteen Areas of Study of interest to you prior to completing this survey. After you have reviewed an Area of Study, click "Next" to get started with the survey. If you wish to leave the survey at any time, just click "Exit this survey" in the upper right corner. Your answers will be saved for your return. Please complete the survey by April 16, 2017.
