Public Input Survey #2

Please join us Wednesday, July 1 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at Concerts in the Commons to see the Mini Master Plan updates and to offer your feedback on the playground design.
About the project: The City of Excelsior is in the process of creating a mini-master plan for the west side of The Commons Park. This plan will guide future improvements to the park, including updates to paths, courts, beaches, buildings, and play equipment. Below is a summary of public feedback received to date, and the refined concept plan. The purpose of this survey is to gather your input on play equipment, and it is open June 17 – July 15, 2026.
Engagement Feedback:

Below is a summary of feedback gathered a Pop Up Event at Excelsior Brewery on April 16, 2026 and input from an online survey open from April 16 – May 4, 2026. Three concept plans were presented, along with example imagery for participants to vote and comment on. Over 68 individuals and/or families participated in the Pop Up Event, and 162 responses were received from the online survey. Click here to zoom in on the image in a new tab!

Refined Concept:

This refined concept (left) and the preliminary concepts (right) in the image below are part of an effort to build on the 2017 Conceptual Guide Plan for the Excelsior Commons. This concept is part of a mini master plan for the western half of the park created in collaboration with City of Excelsior Staff and a Project Advisory Committee. The refined concept was developed with feedback gathered at an April 16th Pop-Up Event at Excelsior Brewing Company and input from an online survey open from April 16 - May 4.
