Grant Application

The Petfinder Foundation Emergency Medical grant program is to assist Petfinder members who are caring for a pet in need of emergency surgery to become adoptable. Grant funds from this program must be used to cover expenses due to emergency surgery for ONE pet up to $1,000.

The Emergency Medical program will NOT provide grants to cover veterinary bills for normal day to day vet services like spay/neuter, teeth cleaning, heartworm, vaccines or routine exams.

Emergency Medical grants may include surgeries for accidents resulting in broken bones, poisoning, car accident, laceration, and foreign object ingestion.  This grant program will also consider surgeries for hip and elbow dysplasia, cherry eye, tumor, cancer, mass removal, cleft lip/palate, glaucoma, and epilepsy.

The Emergency Medical program will consider grant applicants who successfully upload a before photo of the one adoptable pet in need of surgery (#11 upload photo). The before photo cannot be larger than 16MB.

Organizations are only eligible to receive one Emergency Medical grant from the Petfinder Foundation per year.
