Culinary Career Exploration Program Commitment

Serve it Up! is a culinary career exploration program connecting high school students with Red Seal Cooks and Bakers in Nova Scotia.
The program is designed to promote awareness of culinary careers for high school students and aims to increase the number of youth choosing the cooks & baker trade. If you are interested in having a student intern in your kitchen this summer, please ensure you can meet the following commitments and submit this form as outlined below.

* Are you are Red Seal Cook/Baker (or do you represent one as an employer)?

Question Title

* Are you able to provide an interested high school student with 200 hours of paid employment during July and August 2024 under the guidance and mentorship of a Red Seal Cook/Baker?

* Are you able to ensure that the student intern experiences front line, prep work and other typical duties in a safe work environment in accordance with the OH&S Act and current Public Health?

* Do you agree to provide supervised skills training and feedback to the student and their supervising teacher?
