Introduction

Kia ora,

Welcome to this parents and whānau survey from the Education Review Office (ERO).

This survey is about your child’s schooling experience and is part of a piece of work called Education Now.

Education Now provides schools with tools to gather the perspectives of leaders, teachers, board, students and whānau. In completing the surveys, parents and whānau will also be helping ERO build a national picture of education in New Zealand. Anonymised national findings will be used to highlight trends and influence improvements for learners.

Your responses will be combined with those from other participants for reporting back to the child's school and for producing insights about parents' experience of education in New Zealand.

If you have more than one school-aged child who is at Year 4 or higher, the survey will ask you to select one child that you refer to when answering the questions.

The survey is voluntary and anonymous. Neither you nor your child will be named or identified in these reports.

This survey should take you around 10-15 minutes to complete.
